There are three main books used in teaching Bible Knowledge, all in English.
- The syllabus, approved by the government, giving details of all the topics that must be covered from Form 1 to Form 4.
- The Bible is the official text book. The syllabus recommends the RSV Bible, but we use the Good News Bible because it is easier to read, especially for Form 1 students many of whom hardly know English. The Bible Knowledge books include relevant text from the Good News Bible, and explain some RSV words.
- Our Bible Knowledge text books are lessons prepared by the Diocese of Kagera to cover the Bible Knowledge syllabus. There are four books covering Form 1, Form 2, Form 3 and Form 4. Each book includes the appropriate lessons, corresponding Bible text, exercises, a Bible dictionary, and an example exam.
As an example, you can download our Form 4 BK text book by clicking below. However, due to copyright arrangements we cannot reproduce online the corresponding Bible text (Acts), which normally forms part of the book. Also, this online version of the book has had the graphics reduced in quality to keep the file size reasonable.
